Apple’s free Apple Store application in the App Store recently began offering users free content from Apple’s digital content stores that would normally cost money. Apple’s reasoning for adding this feature was to help attract customers to the Apple Store application so they would be reminded of Apple’s product lineup.
Apple’s latest offering in the Apple Store application is a popular game called Temple Run: Oz, normally 99¢, and now free. Temple Run: Oz, as the name suggests, is a combination of the highly popular Temple Run game and the theme of the highly popular Wizard of Oz movie.
The promotional offer for Temple Run: Oz will end on November 15th, on which Apple will no longer offer Temple Run: Oz for free, and users will need to begin paying for the application again. After this time, Apple will likely select a new digital content item, whether from the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store, and allow users to download the content for free in order to keep users' interest in the Apple Store application.
Temple Run: Oz can be downloaded for 99¢ from the App Store via this App Store link, or you can use the Apple Store to grab it for free.
