always wanted to also, but never did.... think they used to teach a no code class and it was pretty simple...  wonder if there is a online course?

Uav7 no online coarse, but you can download all 400 question pool and study, and find out where they are testing and pay the fee and take the test, you also have to go to the fcc and get a FRN number before you test. Then if you pass the test you get the call sign.

Got mine during the Gulf War on the USNS Mercy.  KC6TQJ.  Let it lapse because of the Nazi HOA Board at the condo complex I lived in.  No outside antennas, not even the "hidden" ones.

Kk6tyz usually on VHF 146500 or on Laguna repeater UHF, just got a new kenwood duel band mobile. Took my old VHF mobile made a base so the wife can get ahold of me when I am our 4x4.
