Myself, I started with a 305 Honda in High School . Uncle Sam got his hands on me and I didn't ride again for 32 years Then I got a Honda 750C and now have an '83 Goldwing that still gives me 45+ mpg on road trips. This past Labor Day weekend I took a trip to mid- Michigan to see OSC Stan Nokielski (plankowner) for the first time since 1978.

At sea aboard USS Tarawa (LHA 1) Feb. 12, 2003 -- A member of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Special Operations Capable (SOC) waits his turn to onload his motorcycle for a helicopter flight into Kuwait.  The Tarawa Amphibious Ready Group arrived in the North Arabian Gulf in mid February as part of a regularly scheduled deployment.

My first bike was a race bike for the 3/4 mile dirt flat track, it was a 250 Bultaco loved racing this machine, I also had a 305 Honda dream, a hodaka 125, my favorite bike was a yamaha XT 500 1977 thumper, what a bike, now I have a 1977XS 500 yamaha, almost done restoring it, should be ready in two weeks, love bikes for sure , I have rode dirt bikes, cafe racers, harleys, triumps , kawasaki 100 Z1r , this cow was super fast, plus I had a old Kawasaki 750 two stroke, 3 cylinder, this thing was a rocket, happy safe riding to all from a ole dirt bike rider and a ole salt

This is my Ironhead Sporty that I hardtailed, dropped 2" and stretched 4".

Hopefully I'll have it done by the end of the month!

It is a lot of fun to drive.  An unbelievable amount of power.  It is a head turner.  Best thing about it is the wife can drive it too.  And because you are sitting in a "car", her legs are straight out so she doesn't have the issues with her knees like she does on the Harley.
