Years ago, I actually ate dinner with two very old women that lived by her in Greenville, Ohio. They said she was mean. She would sit on her front porch chewing tobacco. If a kid went on her front yard, she would yell at them to get off of her yard. Ha ha. I wish I could have experience that.

I was channel surfing the other night and there was a program on about Annie and how she started shooting - the family needed food.  And how she met her to be husband and the entire story.  Quite moving if you really look closely at it.  He gave up his career just to support and promote hers.  Nice [smile]

She's not like Annie Oakley, but I love the fact my Cris loves to shoot too.  She is enthusiastic at the range and loves her handgun.  [smile]

Oh, get her a .22 and teach her.  Cris loves her Walther P22.  If she doesn't like it, you got an accurate, fun plinkin' gun [smile]

Jo actually enjoys going to the range from time to time, so with that said she says she will be ready for Top Gun.

You know Steve, that when you come back out here to 29, I would like to get Cris behind my 9mm Shield. I think it might be just right. In fact, the Shield in either 9mm or 40S&W is on sale here at the MCX for $310.00 + DROS on Friday thru Monday. The firearms counter is closed on Sunday.

Mary Lou has male and female friends that do not like guns. She has grown up in that culture. There's no changing that.

My wife hasn't been pro or anti.  But I got her a Ruger 9mm and she likes shooting it and going to the range when shes not working.

Rick, here's the deal. As you look across the country, you are finding Sheriffs, even elected county officials, even those in traditionally liberal areas starting to advocate that the law abiding citizen obtain their CCW permits, not that they would actually carry, but that since the LEOs can't arrive in most cases fast enough to protect the private citizen, so we must protect ourselves.

Therefore, let MaryLou know that for her own safety and protection, she should be at least capable to protect herself, at least at home. She needs to understand she is special.

I'll give it a shot, I mean I'll give it a try!

My daughter (step actually) is a shooter.

Her and I are planning to get our CCW after school is out.  She has a 9mm (Beretta or Browning) and is planning on a 45 for her carry (she'd like a Kimber UC II).  She has a wish list containing a Rock Island 5" 1911, AR rifle and pistol, 357, and a desert eagle.

Only thing holding her back is she's a teacher and she's working on her masters.

That is cool. I find the smaller guns, Ruger LCP and Glock 42, so lightweight and easy to carry. A larger gun is uncomfortable, in my opinion.

Gunny, I will take you up on the offer to let Cris fire the 9.  We will hook up before the Reunion and goof off at the range.  Either your range, or the Vegas Range.  Cris isn't excited about outdoor ranges, so we might need to do some coordinating.
