Very nice. For years, I have been waiting for the owner of TARAWA to not renew his car license. I just checked a minute ago. It's a LONG wait. LHA1 is taken, too.

Nah.......Because TARAWA is too many letters for the Navy Vet plates and LHA 1 is not available.

I thought about registering our car in Florida with Florida plates instead of Ohio plates, because Tarawa is not taken in Florida. But, it's simpler just to have all the cars registered to my name in Ohio for renewals.

Alright... So I didn't know where to place this, but I was in Charlotte,NC on business this week and had gone out to dinner with a coleague. Afterwards we needed to get back to the hotel and decided to use Uber. We were in the car and the colleague of mine mentioned something about me being in the Navy. All of a sudden the driver speaks up and says, "Oh yeah, what ship were you on?" So I proceed to tell him and his response is.."I also served onboard LHA-1." Unfortunately, I didn't remember his name, but he was at the reunion last year and is planning to go again in 2016...small world.

That was very cool. Next time tell him, "TarawaReunion.com".

He said he was going, so I assume he has already signed up.

The solution Rick is simple. Put an Ohio plate on the front of the car and a Florida plate on the rear. Ohio on the front because it is north of Florida.
