Does anyone have any knowledge of Kimber handguns. If so, can you compare a Kimber Solo Carry in Stainless vs. the Glock 23 or 19, or are they apples and oranges?

Kimber is a outstanding handgun made in the us. If I am right it is a 9mm. I prefer a 40 or 45. The kimber has a compact 45 that I would recommend, the super carry ultra.

I will check the Kimber Super Carry Ultra out. Thanks for the information.

Allen, it's kind of weird you mentioned Gun Talk. I swim at my local YMCA five days a week. My average swim is between 62 to 65 without stopping. I swim using only the front crawl. Well, you can imagine how boring to have your face in water for over an hour. There is no one to talk to, ha. So, I bought a waterproof iPod from Waterfi. AND... Here comes the weird part, I listen to podcasts I download. AND... Here comes the weird part, I listen to GUN TALK, ha. Isn't that a hoot?

Allen, it was so much fun catching up with you at the reunion. I really cannot wait to see you at the 2016 reunion. I enjoyed listening to your stories all three days. It was fun eating with you and your step mother at Sam's Town, too. You both are wonderful people.

The neat thing is, because of Tarawa Forum, we are really together.

I have a Kimber Ultra Carry II in .45 and have the .22 conversion kit for it.  It most likely will be my EDC when the golden ticket comes through.

Rick, both are blued.  Sad thing is like all blued handguns, they scratch.  I will probably go the stainless route with the next one.  I'm thinking about getting a S&W M&P EZ 380 for Cris.  She has trouble racking a round, but the EZ will fix that.  There is a range in Henderson that rents the 380 and 9MM EZs.

Steve if she has trouble racking have her try the sig p238 both Bonnie and I carry it very accurate and easy to use.

I will look into it.  I'm sure the range, once it opens back up, would have it to try it out.
