I closed the forum for awhile. It is like the six of us are on Tarawa and no one else. We may have to maintain it ourselves for a while. If you know of a shipmate who wants to join us, let me know. I will open it up to him or her.

I had to remove my wife from the forum, ha.

I will keep it up for a few years. As long as there are three active members.

Marie-Georges-Jean Méliès, known as Georges Méliès (/mˈljɛs/;[1] French: [meljɛs]; 8 December 1861 – 21 January 1938), was a French illusionist and filmmaker famous for leading many technical and narrative developments in the earliest days of cinema. Méliès was an especially prolific innovator in the use of special effects, popularizing such techniques as substitution splices, multiple exposures, time-lapse photography, dissolves, and hand-painted color. His films include A Trip to the Moon (1902) and The Impossible Voyage (1904), both involving strange, surreal journeys somewhat in the style of Jules Verne, and are considered among the most important early science fiction films, though their approach is closer to fantasy.

I'm here.  I don't post much because of computer burnout.  I deal with 400+ emails a day at my government job, and 99% are something I need to take action on.  By the time I get home, a computer is the LAST thing I want to see.  I try to jump in each day just to drop a reply or at a minimum give a Thumbs Up on someone's post.

Maybe in the near future, you can open it back up and spam out a notice to all of the folks to see if they will come here more often.  Might want to post some Reunion info or other event info.

Quotes, pics, movie dialog doesn't matter. In today's world, everything is searchable. I've been trying to alter pics just enough that they don't search easily, but, even then, they still seem to easy to find.

Name this movie:

A group kidnaps a boy, killing family employees, prompting the hardass grandfather to return home and go on a trip to retrieve him. He's accompanied by two of his sons and an old friend.

Big Jake is correct.

I thought I'd give this a try. No caned description or plot and no photos. Use your own words to sum it up.

Nothing that is searchable. You will need to know the movie to do this. This could get difficult, so what do you say we have some additional guidelines, after 24 hrs, the first hint again in your words, then after 48 hours the second hint - like an actors name. After 72 hrs and no ones got it, announce what it was and start another.

Sorry, no.

It's not 24 hrs, but close enough.

Hint 1:

The Americans and Russans didn't start out working together, but wind up working together to recover a flying saucer from behind the bamboo curtain in a Chinese village.
