To all competitors, if you don't have your targets yet as we have discussed, we will be using the following targets which are available at your local Walmart or online.

The target is the Birchwood-Casey multicolor target that comes in a 12 pak. The UPC for the target is 0 29057 37006 5.

PM me when you have them. As you can see from the poll above we will have 9 competitors.

So where can I get these targets at?  Walmart doesn't carry them.  I will check with a few of the ranges in the town and see if they happen to carry them.

Well the website said not carried in San Diego stores, but I will go look anyway.  The wife wants to go shooting on Sunday (dear Lord, I've created a monster!) so I will swing by there.

I'm in a holding pattern due to the Super Typhoon about to hit Japan.  I'm supposed to fly to Japan on Monday.

Steve, I have gotten some at Walmart but they are also available online. Here is an acceptable substitute for the color target shown above on this link: https://www.birchwoodcasey.com/Targets/Eze-Scorer/Eze-Scorer%C2%AE-12-Bull-s-eye-Paper-Target.aspx

If you like I can send you a couple to get started. The goal is for all of us to use the exact same target for fairness. Let me know and I can get them in the mail early next week.

Rick, where did you get yours?

Ok, I will try there, regardless of what the website said.  And I will look here locally.  Can't wait to get some and join in the competition.

If you ever think about a .22 competition, Cris will join in.  She can't do the larger rounds due to her wrists, but I sure don't want to make her mad when she had the Remmy in her hand.  [smile]

Rick I got the right target , or at least the same one you have, I saw the target on the forum, but when I got to Walmart I had a vapor lock and forgot what it looked like, but process of elimination I chose the right one, luck of the Irish

Ok, I have them on order. I should get them before my return to the States at the end of the month.  I got the Black/Red ones, they didn't have the Green.

Let me know what the rules are.  Can't wait for the November Match.  Although my November schedule is booking up quite rapidly with 2 out of town trips.

It costs $3.60 for 13 of them. WOW, that's only $0.28 a target. Buy them on the link above.

Jgietter, keep your eyes peeled for more info, but for now get your targets. Do you have a single weapon or are you like Steve our current Top Gun and have problems with which one to shoot

Ok, so do we want to do another one?  Maybe change the scoring where 1 person gets all of the targets and then at the expiration of the event time frame, posts the targets and the scores?  I'm up for another round, with the prize being just simple Bragging Rights?  No need for our Expert Trophy Maker David to make an elaborate plaque.  I'd even go for doing it monthly.  I volunteer to have everyone send me their targets.  Think about it.... You can't miss-score on a target, the bullet holes tell the story (score).

It would be fun and I'm all up for it and even having the Ladies join in.  As you know, Cris can't handle anything over a .22, and Jo is most likely in that comfort range.  But if the some girls shoot a 9MM or a .45, the score is the score, as long as we use the same target.  Lots of interpretation about a .45 hole much bigger than a .22, but I think we can all agree how to figure that out.

Group:  Your thoughts on this?  A monthly competition? For Monthly Bragging Rights?

Oh yeah, Gunny....  your rear end is mine on the next competition, either monthly or at the Reunion.  Dinner says I will out-shoot you.  Care to take that bet??  [smile] HAHAHA [smile]

If we are going to mail our targets to a "judge", I am cool with that, I could even score and post them if need be.

With the going to the range, mailing targets, etc, I would argue that we hold the competition every other month.

Bragging rights works for me, however, David has a stroke of creative genius that anyone of us would love to hang on our wall.

Steve, you had best max the course.

As for dinner, I might have to take you up on that. Remember there is that match out here in mid-December. Will get you the info as soon as I receive it.

I really wanted to compete, but as the summer unfolded, I didn't get to the range much during the competition period, including the extensions.

Today will only be the 3rd time since the 1st of September!
