Went shopping the past 2 weekends with the wife, looking at guns  [smile]  [smile]  [smile]

You know that wonderful feeling when you get "Weapons Release" authority from the spouse?

I DO  [biggrin]

Please say a prayer for my VISA card.

You got that right. I believe that a S&W M&P Shield 9mm might be in my near future.

Yep, I'm considering a 1911 Kimber.

I'm looking at all of the .45s right now.  What has caught my eye is the Advantage Arms .22 conversions for the 1911A1 (true to Mil-Spec) models.  My, my, my.  [smile]

Springfield Armory, one of the original manufacturers of the 1911 has a beeeee-uuuuu-tiful 1911.  AND the Advantage Arms conversion fits it  [smile]

Item of note:  The Sig-Sauer has a Caliber X-Change kit that will allow you to change calibers if you purchased a specific full-sized frame handgun.  The kits contain everything to change from a .22 to .45, and everything in between.  You can buy the kits that take you between the calibers.  Much cheaper than buying 3 or 4 different caliber guns.
