I took my mother to her doctor's appointment yesterday. My mother told the doctor the price of a prescription was very high. The doctor started in on Obamacare, and how it is going to ruin healthcare for 85% of Americans, the working class. That is the second time I heard a doctor just get upst with the President.

It bothers me how Congress made sure they are not subject to their laws.

Can we survive this President and Congress?

The answer is........

It depends on exactly how many people of voting age come November will have figured that either their elderly parents or extremely ill children do not have a chance under these new laws. While I hate to sound morse during this most joyful time of the year, but under this new draconian laws there are what are called "death panels". They do not include doctors but bean counters and if your treatment costs too much given your age, oh well.

There must be an overwhelming attendance at the polls in November such that those entrenched in office up for re-election are ensured a quick removal. Even if it means voting against your normal political party.

My personal view is that both parties in Washington are corrupt and only know me, me, me instead of "We the. People".

There is hope in some states but NY, California and Illinois have little hope.

We as a country need to wake up and review the history books of old, because it is not in the new ones, else we will be repeating history.

Sorry if this offends, not my intent. Just trying to answer Rick's question. If it the Marine in me, it is because I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic and taking off the uniform did not negate my oath.

I long for America and the values of the 1950s.

Why do Americans sit on their hands and not express how they feel? It's like they think it will go away someday. Where is Peter Finch? We need him today.

In part we have allowed the lawyers to rule our lives. What ever happened to the days of a gentleman's agreement and a handshake. The time when your word was your bond. We have lost our honor, integrity and respect as a nation. But we veterans are brothers who take our commitment to each other seriously because our lives depend on it.
