My cousin was a Marine sniper(68-69 Vietnam). When he hunted he used an old 30-30. He took one round with him. Said if he couldn't kill one with one round he didn't deserve to get one. NEVER saw him come back without one. I was our granddad's gun. I now have it as well as the one I've had since I was 12.

Yes, though I haven't hunted since I had my hip replaced. The area where we live is primarily owned by a private company who has forever allowed hunters to hunt their land. I had decided that I would try hunting again this year. But the company decided that their land is being destroyed by people illegally dumping and general criminal activity, so they noe require a permit to hunt or be on their land. It's $300... The deer would not be worth that cost as well as the license and tag.

Yep, that has always bothered me how people just don't care and are not responsible to pick-up after themselves, and you know it only so well, the bad guys will continue to be bad guys. That's too bad.
